UITS has installed and tested hardware that provides dramatically improved phone-conferencing services to UA faculty and staff. The service enables clear, easy-to-use communication for up to 96 conference participants.

• Meet Me
  Conferees call a campus number and enter a conference authorization code to begin participating. This is the most popular kind of conference because fewer details are needed to set it up, users can call in from any phone or location, and conferees call in rather than having to wait to be called in order to begin participating.

• The University Operator calls each individual conferee at a specified number provided in advance and adds the conferee to the conference.

All conference calls are set up ahead of time, preferably a minimum of 24 hours in advance. To set up a conference, call the campus operators at

 

621-2211, Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 

At times, space for conference calls can be limited, so try to set up your conference well in advance.
