Primary Responsibilities

 

The major focus of the Administration and Finance group is to provide support to the leadership, management, and staff of the Center for Computing & Information Technology (CCIT).  This support is to insure that CCIT staff can be successful in serving the University community within their specific areas.  Administration includes human resources, payroll, clerical, and administrative assistant support.  Finance includes budget, finance and accounting, and procurement/contracting support.  Billable services are offered to University departments to provide workstation and other support services through an annual contract.

 

Workgroups consist of:

  • Administrative Support Team
  • Auxiliary & Computing Accounting
  • Procurement
  • Workgroup & Network Consulting

The Computing Accounting and Auxiliary Accounting teams handle all budget, finance, and accounting tasks to assist administrators in managing the various types of funding streams.  Responsibilities include budget and accountability and timely financial reporting and oversight.

 

The Procurement team works with University Procurement & Contracting to process and oversee the various procurement requirements of CCIT.  This includes regular processing of purchase requests and all contract processes--Request for Proposals., Request for Quotations, and other contract requirements. 

 

Workgroup & Network Consulting provides billable services for integrated workstation support to campus departments through annual billable service agreements including Windows operating system support, application installation and troubleshooting; anti-virus and anti-spyware, software installation, shared disk space on secure redundant servers, and reliable data backup.
